Members Meeting: Conversation About Our Future
March 13 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Over the past several years, many of our members have expressed excitement about the possibility of our organization becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We are pleased to share that we have now reached a point in our organization’s growth where the Board has unanimously voted to move forward with this process, marking an exciting new chapter for The Lake Club Women’s Giving Circle.
Becoming a 501(c)(3) would allow us to strengthen our long-term sustainability, expand fundraising opportunities, and further increase the impact we are able to make for the organizations and families we support in our community.
As part of these discussions, an important topic that has emerged is the possibility of a future organizational name change to better align with the structure and vision of the organization as it evolves.
Because this represents an important moment in the future of our Giving Circle, the Board believes it is essential that our membership be part of the conversation. We invite and encourage any member who would like to learn more, ask questions, or share their perspective to join us for an upcoming informational discussion:
Member Roundtable & Information Session
Friday, March 13
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
The Lake Club Grande Clubhouse
During this gathering, we will:
• Share an overview of the 501(c)(3) process and what it means for our organization
• Discuss the potential name change and the thinking behind the conversation
• Provide an opportunity for members to ask questions and share feedback
Your voice and perspective matter. As a member-driven organization, we want to ensure our community has the opportunity to learn about the process, ask questions, and be part of the dialogue as we thoughtfully consider this next step together.
To respect everyone’s time, the discussion will be limited to one hour, but we hope it will be a meaningful opportunity for open conversation and shared vision.
We hope you will join us.
With gratitude,
TLCWGC Board Members
