At the heart of the Lake Club, our Women’s Giving Circle is more than just a group; it’s a community of compassionate, dynamic women dedicated to making a tangible impact through our outreach projects. Throughout the year, we embark on a journey filled with opportunities to give back, connect, and celebrate our collective efforts to support and uplift those around us.

Our Outreach Projects: A Year-Round Commitment to Making a Difference

Our outreach initiatives encompass a broad spectrum of causes, touching on various needs within our community. Through the concerted efforts of the TLC Women’s Giving Circle and its outreach committee, we have made significant impacts over the past few years by providing volunteers and resources to numerous nonprofits. Our collaborative endeavors include donating over 300 pairs of shoes to children in need with The Twig, fostering diversity, inclusion, respect, and integrity by labeling books and reading to children for Embracing Our Differences across Manatee and Sarasota counties, contributing to The Food Bank of Manatee through The Lake Club Turkey Trot, stocking food pantries at area schools with The Children’s Home Society, sorting food, hanging clothes, and creating special Mother’s Day baskets for Mothers Helping Mothers, preparing grocery bags for distribution to homeless children in Manatee County with Feeding Empty Little Tummies (F.E.L.T.), and filling backpacks for the Blue Butterfly Family Grief Center’s Summer grief camp for kids. Throughout the year, we offer a plethora of volunteering opportunities, and each year we strive to partner with different nonprofit organizations, broadening our impact and fostering diverse avenues for community engagement.
