March Drive for School Attendance Support

As we approach the month of March and rainy season ahead, we are excited to launch our Drive for the local non-profit organization, School Attendance Support (SAS). It’s important to recognize the challenges some of our local low-income children face when it comes to attending school consistently. Unlike some areas where buses are readily available, many of these children have to brave the elements and commute to and from school exposed to whatever weather nature throws their way. This lack of transportation options adds an extra layer of difficulty, making it even more crucial for them to have the necessary rain gear to stay dry and comfortable on their journeys.

Service Request: Rain Gear for Kids Kindergarten – Grade 8 (ages 5 -14 years)

We’re calling on our generous members to contribute the following:

Umbrellas

Ponchos – Sizes Youth Small – Youth X-Large

Rain Boots

By providing these items, we’re not just offering protection from the rain; we’re also helping to remove barriers that could otherwise prevent these children from getting the education they deserve. Your contributions to the Drive for School Attendance Support (SAS) will directly impact the lives of these kids, ensuring they have the tools they need to attend school regardless of the weather conditions.

Where to Drop Off Your Donations

We’ve set up convenient drop-off points at the homes of our dedicated members, Nancy Lepain and Julie Swan. You can bring your donations to either location at your convenience.
