Event: No Sew Fleece Blanket Making for Hospice

Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of hospice patients by helping create no-sew fleece blankets that provide warmth, comfort, and compassion during a vulnerable time. This hands-on service opportunity with Tidewell Hospice, part of Empath Health, allows our members to directly impact patients and families in our Sarasota and Manatee County community. Since 1980, Tidewell Hospice has provided exceptional care and support to individuals facing chronic and advanced illness, now serving more than 1,100 patients across Manatee, Sarasota, Port Charlotte, and DeSoto counties. Whether you are a longtime member or joining your first service project, this is a wonderful opportunity to: • Connect with fellow Giving Circle members • Give back in a tangible and heartfelt way • Support an organization doing vital work in our community We hope you will consider joining us for this meaningful afternoon of service and connection. We will be assembling no sew fleece blankets and possibly cutting large fabric squares for assembly.

Building is a secure workplace. Meet in lobby at 1:25 PM for ushered entrance to the 2nd floor conference room.

Lunch Information: 

We will be enjoying a before service lunch at Percoco’s Pizza and Pasta Restaurant in downtown Lakewood Ranch (8131 Lakewood main St.) meeting there at 11:30AM and departing for Tidewell at about 1:10PM.

Tidewell Hospice is a member of Empath Health, a not for profit integrated network of care supporting those living with chronic and advanced illness and the largest nonprofit and hospice provider in the country. Since 1980, Tidewell has added services as needed to the community. It now serves 1.100 hospice patients in Manatee, Sarasota, Port Charlotte and Desoto Counties.
