Tidewell Hospice Drive
March 31 @ 8:00 am – April 13 @ 5:00 pm
Hospice care is not just about medical support—it’s about providing comfort, dignity, and a sense of peace during life’s most vulnerable moments. We have the chance to help ensure that every Empath Tidewell Hospice patient receives at least one lovingly crafted comfort item. These items, created by dedicated volunteers, offer warmth, sensory relief, and a touch of kindness when it’s needed most.
What’s Needed:
• Fleece No-Sew Throw Kits
• Linen/Cotton Placemats
• Poly-Fil Premium Polyester Fiber Fill Stuffing
• Chunky Yarn & Knitting/Crochet Yarn (various colors)
• Cotton Fabric Bundles & Solid Cotton Fabric (various patterns)
• Washable Watercolor Paint Sets for Kids
• Watercolor Paper
• Scrapbooking Books & Supplies
• Throw Pillow Inserts (18×18)
• Measuring Spoons
• Mesh Loofahs (various colors)
• Satin Neckties
• Journals
These materials are transformed into comfort blankets, pillows, fidget mats, and squidgets—items that bring soothing relief, especially for patients with Parkinson’s or dementia, helping keep their hands safely engaged while offering a sense of calm and security.
