A Year of Unprecedented Demand
In 2024, we received 23 grant applications from incredible organizations, collectively requesting over $93,000 in funding. While we are proud to have supported many of them, we were only able to fulfill about one-third of the total requested funds. This significant gap between the needs of our community and our available resources has been a key driver in our decision to increase the Minimum Annual Contribution (MAC) starting in 2025.
Why the Change?
Our mission is to support and uplift organizations in Manatee and Sarasota Counties that serve women, children, and families in need. As the demand for grant funding continues to grow, we need to adapt and strengthen our ability to meet these needs. Increasing the MAC to $500 per member will allow us to expand our annual grant pool to over $50,000, enabling us to provide more impactful support and fund a greater number of deserving initiatives.
What’s New for 2025
We are also transitioning to a pure grant-making organization, focusing all resources directly on grant funding. This shift will maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of our collective contributions.
