DESCRIPTION:Organization Name: Tidewell Foundation Event: No Sew Fleece Blanket Making for Hospice Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of hospice patients by helping create no-sew fleece blankets that provide warmth\, comfort\, and compassion during a vulnerable time. This hands-on service opportunity with Tidewell Hospice\, part of Empath Health\, allows our members to directly impact patients and families in our Sarasota and Manatee County community.  Since 1980\, Tidewell Hospice has provided exceptional care and support to individuals facing chronic and advanced illness\, now serving more than 1\,100 patients across Manatee\, Sarasota\, Port Charlotte\, and DeSoto counties.  Whether you are a longtime member or joining your first service project\, this is a wonderful opportunity to: • Connect with fellow Giving Circle members • Give back in a tangible and heartfelt way • Support an organization doing vital work in our community  We hope you will consider joining us for this meaningful afternoon of service and connection.  We will be assembling no sew fleece blankets and possibly cutting large fabric squares for assembly. \n Event Date: May 14\, 2026  Start Time: 1:30 PM – End Time: 4:00 PM Carpool Departure Time: 11:30 AM Number of Attendees: 12 Who Can Attend: Members\, Prospective Members\, Spouses/Significant Others\, Friends Additional Information:  Casual attire\, mostly standing\, some sitting.\nWear name tags.\nBuilding is a secure workplace. DESCRIPTION:Organization Name: Forty Carrots Family Center Event: Outreach Tour\, Forty Carrots Family Center If you are interested in seeing and learning about one of our not for profit charity’s that has received a grant from TLCWGC\, this is for you!  We will receive both Information and a tour of the new Forty Carrots’ campus off of Cattleman Rd in Sarasota. From the observation deck\, we will be able to watch the “Welcome to Our World” new parent and infant support group in process. This is very similar to the Forty Carrots parenting education programming that The Lake Club Women’s Circle grant supported with the 40 Carrots Lightshare Mother’s & Infants program.. \n Event Date: June 10\, 2026  Start Time: 11:30 AM – End Time: 12:30 PM Carpool Departure Time: 11:00 AM Number of Attendees: 6 Who Can Attend: Members Additional Information:  Attire will be casual\,   parking is available. \n Lunch Information:  1 PM Lunch at Flemmings (on our way home )will immediately follow the event\,  Located on the N side of the UTC campus. \n Information About Charity: 40 Carrots Family Center was established over 30 years ago with the vision that all parents will provide experiences and environments that are emotionally and physically safe so their children can grow into caring and capable people. Their mission is to nurture healthy child and family development through research based\, relationship centered education and mental health services. They provide parenting education and mental health services for parents\, children\, adolescents and families\,  and also have a nationally accredited preschool. 96% of their 5\,603 clients received free services last year and they provided 1907 free community outreach groups at 33 community partner locations. their organization has grown over the past 30 years\, as the need for their services.
